Hi, I'm Bianca.

I've spent nearly twenty years inside higher education, and I started BIVI to do the part I love most without all the bureaucracy around it.

I came up through enrollment and admissions the long way. I started at a career college, where I was sent to help grow a new campus, trained the staff, and worked with management to fix the processes underneath it. I loved that, building something and watching it actually take hold.

That led me to UC Berkeley in 2015, where I worked as a graduate student affairs officer. That role wears a lot of hats, from admissions and advising to program management, funding, and the systems behind it all. From there I helped build a joint UC Berkeley and UCSF doctoral program from the ground up. Along the way I read applications, sat in on committee conversations, and managed the fellowship funding behind PhD admissions. I learned how these decisions really get made, from the inside.

These days I do that work on my own terms, for organizations building their systems and applicants trying to navigate them. If that's you, I'd love to hear what you're working on.
